Mothers, Fathers and Angels

Dear ones,

Before I dig into my angel message for today, I’d like to invite you to join me for a Healing Family with the Angels 9-Day Prayer event. For many of us, family is home base. And also where there is great opportunity for harmony and healing. This offering is no cost, no catch, just prayer…and angels.

We will begin next Wednesday, May 15th at noon Eastern. Each meeting will be recorded, so if you can’t join live, you will be able to participate via recording on your own schedule.

Mother, the nurturer. Father, the provider. These established archetypes have been in place for centuries…or longer.

But are they crumbling to be completely replaced? Or in the very least, evolving.

In the spirit of Mother’s Day tomorrow and my father’s burial yesterday, I am called to dig into some of the deeper crevices of the heart – Mother. Father…and Angels.

My mother was certainly the nurturer and primary caregiver to my three brother’s and me for all of our dependent years.

My father was a provider, but not in the way most envision the provider of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s: paying job that covers all the expenses of the household, while the mother takes care of the children. He walked a different path. The money was there, so we were fine, but as a role model things were a little confusing.

Perhaps he was riding the crest of this tsunami of change.

The definition of family as father+mother+children has been blown apart to be replaced by the rise of single-parent families, same-sex parents, children born as female but don’t consider themselves 100% female…and on.

A close friend of our son was born to two mothers.

Our daughter is currently choosing career and art over children. She recently shared that while she may adopt in her early 40’s, she has decided not to bear children herself.

The 11 year old daughter of a friend has told her mother that she’s bi-sexual.

I know of marriages that are happily “open”.

The world is evolving with any false ideation of “normal” (that was somehow comforting) tossed out the window. And swiftly so.

I admit that at times all this makes me squirm with discomfort. Yes, I live my life in an old-school girl kinda way. I married my highschool sweetheart, we had two children and we’re a very happy and well-adjusted unit. This isn’t about me being a single-minded conservative, I’m not. It’s discomfort from the pain I pick up from others as we collectively move through this phase of evolution.

There are MANY paths and ways to live a joyful and spiritually fulfilling life.

Whether or not a path is “right” always goes back to only one thing – is it one of Love. Love for self. And Love for Life.

Nothing else matters.

So what the heck does this have to do with angels?

How we view angels is changing too. It’s not because they’ve changed, but rather how we relate to them. We are living in a time where we are being called to dive very deep into our inner being to heal.

Because as within, so without.

Any wounds we continue to carry around within us are projected out in the world. As within, so without.

As we heal that which is within, we heal that which is without.

And the without part…that needs healing. The angels’ #1 job is to show us where that healing is and take us on the path to resolving it. And replacing it with Love.

The result: divine empowerment and unhindered access to the God within.

Which, of course, means that we are all WAY more powerful than we ever realized. Truth.

I love you, the real you. Like a Mama Bear. Truth.
