Transition and Service

Fall weather continues in our tiny corner of the US - New England. 80 degree sunshine is still several days’ reach from us. Such odd weather for this time of year. And when I look around the country, the weather is equally dramatic with high heat and storms.

The economy continues to feel strange as more and more are discussing their layoff experiences, adjusting vacation plans and looking for more ways to save money. Our lives of luxury and extravagance seems to be a chapter closing while a new one peeks its head around the door.

So what does life look like after this transition we are all experiencing? Hard to say and the angels insist that only goodness will come of what feels to me like a birthing process. I do find it interesting that all the changes seem to be heading toward bringing families closer to homebase. Perhaps we have become too disconnected from what is really important…perhaps it’s time to extend our personal hand of service to those immediately around us - family, neighbors, friends, fellow Earthly inhabitants.

I continue in deep meditation with the Angels as I ponder how best to take the much needed “right turn” that AngelsTeach needs to take to lead and guide those who are destined to learn with me. Some of the needs I know I must address are: greater flexibility for how my teachings are delivered - both with schedule and venue. I also know I must offer services at a lower cost for more people and yet, maintain the amazing sense of community that people who study with us cherish.

The answer for this phase of my service is surfacing in bits and pieces. I know more homestudy courses are being unearthed. I know better use of technology and an expansion of the curriculum is a must. I know the amazing people who have volunteered and stepped forward because they believe so strongly in this mission must continue to have a vehicle for their work helping people connect with the Angelic Realm. I know there is a lot in transition. And I know I am meant to bring this forward to you in service as best I can.

I ask you for your prayers and blessings as I birth the next generation of AngelsTeach. I can already tell she is astounding! ;)

I love you all soooo much! Truly! For you are indeed a child of the Divine…and I can see that in you even when you are not able.

Summer Solstice

I guess there’s a reason it feels almost like fall here in New England as Summer officially starts with the longest day of the year on Sunday.

Fall typically makes many of us think of change, new beginnings and the start of school. Interestingly enough, all 3 of these have been BIG themes for me this past week as I move into structuring courses and classes for the 2009/2010 school year.

Our world has been changing quickly over the past several decades and it has been reaching a pinnacle this year. Many of you are feeling stressed and curious about what lies ahead…and many of you carry the faith that these changes are bringing us all to a world of greater compassion and Love while others of you need more support creating this as our collective reality.

I’ve had the opportunity to spend quite a bit of time alone this past week as my family has been touring around the mid-west visiting friends, family and colleges for our son who will be a Junior next year (yikes!). This week has been wonderful, very healing and extremely productive. It’s amazing what can be accomplished when allowed the space and time!

As I’ve been in communion with the Angels about the direction of AngelsTeach, I am being heavily guided to evolve the AngelsTeach offerings to be more in alignment with your specific needs as we go through this change together. Many of you responded to a survey last January that has been extremely helpful - thank you for that!

Coming soon, you will see much more flexibility of class offerings, scheduling, as well as lower cost options to learn Angel Communication.

And even the Angelic Life Coach® Training Program in its third year is evolving from a solid curriculum into a masters program…

All very exciting!

Please stay tuned as more unfolds. It is premature to announce any specifics (I’ve learned my lesson the hard way with that one!), although I will say that I am in the midst of writing a new eCourse that I believe will be as successful as the recently launched ABCs of Creating Abundance with the Angels. More about this new eCourse will be announced within a week or two…

Index
Fruity Messages from the Angels

Sometimes people think that the messages from the angels are straightforward, obvious and easy to understand. While this is true many of the times, there are occasions when the angels want us to really look hard and to ponder the message(s) that may lie within.

An obvious message may be as simple as getting hit over the head with an “aha” moment about your health. The more subtle messages, and often odd ones, can reveal a more obscure truth.

I’ll give you an example…several times over the past few weeks as I’ve been driving, I’ve seen fruit lying in the road. First it was a whole apple, just there in the gutter with not even a house or a sidewalk nearby. And it wasn’t a discarded core, it was the entire piece of fruit. I thought to myself, “Hmmmm…that’s odd!” But knowing that we receive a million messages a day, when I didn’t get an immediate hit on what the message was, I stored it away for future use. It was too unusual not to hold some nugget of angel wisdom.

And then a few days later - almost in the same place - I saw an orange. Again, the whole thing. Not a peel or a section, but the entire orange orange! “How bizarre!!!” I thought to myself.

Are the angels trying to tell me I”m a fruitcake? Am I passing by some fruity opportunity? Do I need to eat more fruit? No, not really. The answer that resonated most closely was to “focus on the low hanging fruit”.

Okay, and two days ago, I encountered a half eaten pear in the middle of the road. “Half a pear?…My other half?” Oh, my chatting with the angels and pestering them with questions wanting to know the answer was relentless. But they are wise, and know when it’s best to reveal their Divine knowledge to us. And when to wait.

Yesterday, I began to see Ford Focus cars all about. On the highway, on the sideroads, in parking lots. Focus, Focus, Focus.

And I realize it’s a message to “Focus on the bounty of the fruit that is all around you that is ripe and waiting to be eaten.” And I hear a “ding! ding! ding!” from the angels in my head. I finally have my answer.

In the next two weeks, I am launching two new classes that have been surfacing in the past couple of months. Next Tuesday begins a 2-week Protection with the Angels teleclass.

For graduates of the Angel Reading Certification Program, I am announcing an Advanced Angel Reading class.

The fruit is right in front of me…and it’s in front of you too! Bon appetite!! Hee! ;)…

What is Your Song?

From Peter’s Love Your Human Design blog. I just LOVE this message and the song he posted from Rent brings tears to my eyes and joy to my heart. Sooooooo powerful!

I ran across this song yesterday, Seasons of Love from Rent the movie and musical. As I was listening to it I got chills and that energy surge from deep inside that can only be identified as my life source.

As I was thinking about the song I remembered I had the same experience with this song when I first saw the play years ago. I guess that is the beauty of an open Head and open Ajna as you can experience the same joys over an over again like they are fresh.

As I was driving along last night I was contemplating, “What is it about this song that sings to me?” The song is about a year in life. Minute to minute and day to day the joys, sorrows and the in between. And yes it’s about Love. That’s when it hit me. This song sings to my Human Design.

My cross is the vessel of Love. I have the gates of the love of humanity(gate 15) and the love of the body(gate 46), the physical experience we carry out here on earth. I have the love of the expression of the self(gate10) and the love of universal love(gate25). If you listen to the song and look at this aspect of my design which as the incarnation cross is a core piece of my design, how could I not be so moved?

Now I will admit that I have been blessed to have a design centered around love which may be lloked at as an easier design.  But we all have a part in this grand play. We need crosses of Sphinx to give us direction, we need crosses of Laws and Rulership to guide us and give us boundaries, we need crosses of Tension and Confrontation to help keep us together and move through things so we aren’t stuck. I could go on but the point is that we are all hear to do our part.

Take a few minutes and think about, “What song or songs really move you deeply and energetically?” Examine what they are about either litterally or metaphorically. Once you figure that out you have an arrow directing you as to why you are here.

Commitment

I have always been one to hold true to commitments that I make. I honor the expectations that I set for others to the best of my ability. This has sometimes meant that I have compromised my own needs and sacrificed my own well being and the desires of my soul.

About two months ago, I set a personal goal that many would view as extreme. I have held this goal solidly in my consciousness. The vibration of this desire grows stronger each day and I am now watching my world change around me as a result of this creation that seeps into my reality.

Many of you may know I recently released a 43-day eCourse The ABCs of Creating Abundance with the Angels. One of the things I help with is the understanding that as you set your intention for change, change happens. It’s a natural part of our world and will happen anyways, but when you set your sights intensely, change occurs more rapidly.

Things in my world around me are changing very quickly right now - almost faster than I can keep track of. I have made some commitments on both a personal and business level that I am now struggling to keep. I am finding it crucial to be in tune with my soul’s needs on a very moment to moment basis. This is really hard for me because I am a person who holds a promise as very dear.

And yet, some of these promises are counter to the goal I am working diligently to create. I know that if I back out of some of my commitments, I will disappoint people (something I hate to do). The question has run through my mind, “Do I honor my commitment to others more than my commitment to my own highest good? Do I ignore the deepest desires of my soul?”

And the answer invariably is that as I trust and stay close to the guidance of my angels all will be perfect. Commitments I’ve made that I must break will result in the highest good for all affected. I trust that the angels will arrange for this.

I share this experience because yesterday I did something I’ve only done once before in my career - I missed an appointment with a client. Totally forgot, because I was meeting with a book coach about writing a book proposal! And now, after meeting with the book coach, the angels are very strongly guiding me to “clear my calendar for the next 4 weeks”, because I need to be writing, writing and more writing.

More commitments to others will be broken as I carefully arrange my calendar around my guidance from the angels. In the long run, however, I know this is how I can serve and do my best work in this world that is so in need of healing.

I’ve known I need to write a book for a while now, but hadn’t reached the right moment. And yesterday, I did. Perhaps I will share some of the book in this blog as it emerges. I would like to commit to that, but…well, you know.

Stay in the moment and keep your commitments focused on your highest good. Trust that as you do so, all others in your life will thrive. They may stumble from disappointment at first, but perhaps this is exactly what they need to step out on their own.

Health Care Reform - an Angelic Blueprint/Human Design Perspective

We are born on to this earth in a vessel called the human body. It is a intertwining of our ethereal spirit  with a mechanical and physical vehicle. From day one expectations are put on us. We are all expected to walk, talk, play and be social. But we are not all created equal. We are as unique as snowflakes and though we may look alike, we act and preform very differently from each other. Human Design is one method of exploring the differences and knowing the potential of what we are meant to be and what we are not.

Many of us go through life living what in Human Design is called the Not Self. We carry out lving up to those expectations that were placed on us or that influenced us when we are young. Some even believe we may carry these forward from past lives. Regardless of where they come from, your Human design has defined energies and ways of expression that you are designed to live. These are the colored in areas of your chart. This definition gives you a consistency of expression and behavior that you can carry throughout your life.

The Not Self is the areas of your chart that are white. When we are unduly influenced to live out characteristics in the Not Self we are destined to struggle eventually. The reason is simple. We do not have energy defined to do that. If we try to live the Not Self  the energy is inconsistent. Since it draws on energy we don’t have it puts a strain on the parts of the body that those areas in the chart have a direct connection to. Over time we may end up burning out our body in certain parts.

Take for example the Heart/Will center. Our society expects a lot of people to use will power to get things done. Yet only 1/8 of the poulation has it. There are four major parts of the body connected to the will center. The heart muscle, the gall bladder, the kidneys/blood  and the stomach. This reads like a laundry list of our societies top ailments. Perhaps the best Health care reform plan would be to give everyone their Human Design chart  and have them live their Human Design. It sure would be a lot easier.

What got me on this topic was an aritcle I read  in Sport Illustrated. The article was about a well known baseball player named Alex Rodriguez or nick named A-Rod. He is most notably known for his record contract, that he signed in 2001 for 10 years and 252 million dollars. Great expectations were placed on Alex for that amount of money. In fact so much so that despite the fact that he is a very good player he has not lived up to them all. If you look at his Human Design he is the cross of the unexpected. So what do you expect, not the expected, atleast not all the time. That doesn’t mean disaster but it does mean that he will have sudden unexpected things pop up in his life. That is his energy and his design. The opening day game after signing his big contract, he dropped a routine out, slipped on the grass and fell down and tripped on his shoe laces. Unexpected or not!;-)

One of the biggest expectations placed on Alex was for him to be a team builder and leader. There are two things in his chart that suggest that wasn’t going to happen. The first is that his energy for leadership, the gate 31 is more of a Socialist leader. While it could work if he was properly supported, like Obama, it is more likely that in an environment like professional sports is going to be more of an alpha leader with the gate 7.  In addition, Alex doesn’t have the channel of community, (gates 37 & 40). In fact he only has the gate 40 which is the gate of being alone. A person with a gate 40 will choose to be alone if the personal freedoms that they loose as part of being in a community are not worth it. Alex has sometimes been labeled as an individual and not a team player but it really is not his fault. Alex is just living his design.

We are all born into a body that is wired to do many things but not all things. We would all be healthier and happier if we lived our Human Design. Are you living yours?

A Tribute to My Mother

As a little girl, I called her Mommy.

I remember lying on her bed with my head in her lap while she made her morning phone calls. She would stroke my hair and gently rub my face as she laughed with her friends and went about her business. I was quiet for no more than 15 minutes before I began my pouting, tapping her on her arm “when are you going to be done?” Afterall, I wanted her for myself!

She was patient with me.

Mommy was my whole world.

My heart jumped in excitement when she fetched me from school. And I would wilt in her absence.

We would pick up a wonderful woman, Mrs Oakes, who came to our house twice a week to help with housework (she made the BEST egg salad sandwiches ever!). In the era before seatbelt laws, I would hide behind the passengers seat and pretend I was a mouse. All the way back to our home, I would make mousey noises “Squeak! Squeak!” and Mommy and Mrs. Oakes would have a conversation about the strange sound coming from the back seat, “Must be a mouse who snuck into the car!” they would exclaim.

I picked flowers for her from our yard, my reward her smile when I handed them to her. Daffodils and lilacs were the favorite.

While I flourished under her loving care, I didn’t escape some of her well-known forms of discipline. If we didn’t finish our dinner, we would have to eat it for breakfast the next day. I recall slipping into the fridge later in the evening to sneak the peas on my plate which I knew wouldn’t taste good in the morning. 

I lived out my adolescent and teen years in a house we moved to in the city when I was 10. I still attended the same school, but my relationship with my Mommy changed.

She was still the apple of my eye, but unbeknownst to me her marriage to my Dad was deteriorating. Always there for me when I needed her, I recall her darning socks by the light of her bedroom window or sitting at her desk balancing her checkbook. Her smiles were less frequent and the energy heavier. I sent her love and she gave it back to me as best she could. I called her Mom then.

When I was 24, Peter and I got married. Still unhappy in her own marriage, I reflect back and think it must have been hard for her to put her heart into the marriage of her only daughter when her own heart had moved away.

But she is a warrior determined to do what she views as best for her children and she gave us an unforgettable wedding experience.

A year later, she split from my Dad to marry her soul mate. Her smiles returned and she took up fly fishing, cribbage and an interest in port. (Happily, a few years after that my Dad married his soul mate.)

Her love and support through the years of our raising children, transitioning through careers and healing through the changes of life has been unwaivering.

She has always been there through all the angels have put before us.

I was once told by an astrologer that she is the perfect mother for me, although I didn’t need an astrologer to tell me that.

I call her “Maman” now. This is new in the last few years. Perhaps it’s a holdover from a past life we shared together in France.

My dear Maman, I am deeply grateful for all that give and all that you are. You are the BEST mother a girl/woman could ask for!

I love you, Maman!

Looking in the mirror

As some of you may know, we hosted our first annual AngelsTeach student/alum reunion last weekend. It was such an honor to be part of this event and to have amazing women literally from all over the world here on the farm in Norfolk, Massachusetts. The energy was just off the charts - awesome!

Our theme for the weekend was looking in the mirror and being able to love yourself. Such a simple concept and yet, so hard for many to actually be able to do. Try it - look yourself square in the eye and say “I LOVE YOU!!!”

And while our focus last week was learning how to love yourself, yesterday I had the pleasure of hearing the Dalai Lama speak. He said that “The true path is the wisdom of no self…Ignorance grasps at the self which does not exist.”

So how do you reconcile the need to love yourself while at the same time embracing the idea that there is no true self? An interesting quandry…

What the angels share with me is that when we are not at peace with any part of our person, we do not want to let go. The ego, the ignorance the Dalai Lama spoke of, holds on. It believes there is something to “fix”. It believes there is something there that is wrong.

When we love ourselves unconditionally, we allow the space for transformation of self to something higher. And through that transformation, the self disappears and merges with the One…with the Love.

By loving yourself in the Divine sense, you let go of the self that attaches to the idea that you must be focused on what’s wrong with you, or with your child, or with your partner. You are able to love yourself and thus all of humanity.

My favorite Dalai Lama quote: “My religion is simple. My religion is Love.”

Love yourself and you will love all life around you.

From the outback of Norfolk Mass

Hi everyone,
Am having such a wonderful time with Nina and Peter, their children, friends and a menagerie of cats, dogs, geese, sheep, and 17 beautiful, almost iridescent chickens that I watch scratching for grubs or dashing across the field in answer to Peter’s pretty realistic call. I sit writing or painting or just observing and enjoying.

Being here is truly about the law of manifestation which is so about appreciating these magical moments in order to bring them into reality. To appreciate what already exists here in this very second is the secret. To Be In the Now.

It’s that energy of appreciation, of gratitude that really manifests what the universe knows our soul want. When we surrender into that knowing, that trusting, the angels, that wise and magical component of the One we truly are, bring us our heart’s desires. And helps us remember and appreciate what’s now and what’s next. It’s a never ending circle of appreciation, of love, of gratitude and contentment.

I am so looking forward to the class on Protection with the Angels. Nina and I have really had to work closely with the angelic presence, our highest intuitive knowing and it feels as if we’re going to be bringing some bright new light to the subject. I hope you’ll join us.

And in the meantime, I’m so enjoying the 43 day email class on Abundance that Nina’s now offering. Combined with her enthusiasm and very present awareness of the needs of the participants, it too is an exceptional class that offers a uniquely inspiring perspective on abundance.

I’m off now to pour another cup of tea, then to gather a few clothes for washing, make my bed, pause to notice the wind chimes ringing their deep, resonating notes in the cool Massachusetts air and then to stop for a bit and focus my intention of the highest and best on the the Angelic Life Coach course I’ll be participating in this afternoon. Don’t you just love these moments. Thank you universe. Thank you angels.

Protection - to cover over

I’ve had the honor of spending some quality time this week with my friend, student and colleague Barb Andrew. Barb and I were in seminary together several years ago and while we connected at the time, our bond has grown stronger since ordination.

One of the things that brings Barb and I together is our love of pondering the laws of the Universe. There is nothing that makes us happier than sitting around sipping tea and talking about the qualities of Peace…or the means to Surrender…or new ways to express gratitude. Contemplating the Law of Attraction and how it affects us is just a delicious thing to do on a steamy spring afternoon.

Barb and I will be offering a class entitled Protection with the Angels later this spring. It will be 2 sessions starting on Tuesday evening, June 2nd. Yesterday afternoon we began to put together the outline for how to bring this tricky subject to light.

Why is protection a tricky subject? Because most people view protection from a place of fear. There is a dominant “Oh no, I need protection - quick!” Where the truth of it is that the only thing we need protection from is our own fear-based beliefs. If you remember the Law of Attraction - you get back what you put out. If you transmit nothing but Love to the Universe, then that is what you receive in return.

The history of the word protection is “to cover over”. It is a form of hiding. If you are grounded fully in Love, then there is no need to hide…there is no need for protection.

If this subject interests you, I hope you will join us on June 2nd. Isn’t looking at life from a perspective of Love rather than fear a great way to kick off your summer?!

Going with the flow

As you may have seen last week, the angels have had me in their “In-the-moment Bootcamp” and I’ve got to tell you that it has been such a life changing experience. Allow me to share…

Let me start by reiterating that I have really been working with the power of now for quite some time. It’s just that last week, the angels up’ed the ante. So as I entered my busiest time of year, this is what was (and is) on my plate:

  • 2 events a week apart (one yesterday and one next Sunday) that I have to put together all the print material, supplies, organize people to help, etc…
  • lead workshops at both events as well as process all the follow up logistics of entering email addresses, payments, yadayadayada
  • we have our 1st annual student retreat with folks coming in from all over the world this coming Friday and Saturday. I’m hosting this at our house, which means food, prep, etc… in addition to the programming
  • and I have 3 children who need attention
  • I’m currently running 3 full classes and just finishing 1, so have class prep, student homework review, etc…
  • and I have clients who need attention
  • I am releasing my new ABCs of Creating Abundance with the Angels TOMORROW!!! :)… This entails finishing the writing, testing and quality control, plus the promo and processing of orders
  • and I have students who need attention
  • ad deadlines for the next Aspire Magazine are due
  • and it’s my mother’s 80th birthday and I’m organizing a big party for her on May 2nd
  • and the Angels have guided me to launch a new Angel Reading Certification Program self-paced correspondence version by the end of the spring
  • and the Angels have guided me to teach with my friend Barb a new class on Protection with the Angels this May
  • and those children of mine need food from the grocery store
  • and AngelsTeach is continually asking me to guide her onward
  • and did I mention that we have 3 dogs, 3 cats, 16 chickens, 3 geese, 2 sheep and 1 fish? and guess what, they need stuff for them too
  • and I have a husband - who helps a lot thank the angels!

Now two years ago, this list of responsibilities before me would have brought me to a shriveled state of paralysis. But you see, going with the flow means that you don’t try to do something until it is the Divine Time to actually do it.

I like to think of a river. Let’s say that preparing for the retreat is represented by a big old beech tree by the side of the river bank. I see it up ahead, but I’m not there yet. If I try to touch that tree when I’m upriver, I’ll have a really hard time. I can’t reach it yet. I am not ready to prepare for the retreat because I’m about 10 feet upstream drifting past a sunny rock on the other side of the river. I know I’ll get to that beech tree and I know I’ll easily be able to reach out and feel it’s wonderful bark. Everything feels easy to me as I focus on what is right here in this moment.

I actually see a thick forest ahead along my river banks. And that’s a comforting thing. Because I know that as I focus on only the one beautiful thing that is in front of me right now, I am doing everything necessary to ensure that I will be prepared to be Divinely successful when I get there.

Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths and picture your river flowing gently and easily along. If it feels like the current is too swift, use your mind to slow it down. Ask your angels for help if you need to. Life’s too short not to notice the turtle on that rock you just went by.

It’s nighttime now and my river is taking me to my bed for some cuddle time with my current favorite book.

Stay in the flow and trust you are just where you need to be in this moment!

Into every life a little rain must fall

A guest post from our beloved Customer Care Angel Marianne…

On Easter Sunday I had a scare. I had a fainting episode that resulted in a nasty fall with some unpleasant facial injuries and a bruised body. It could have been so much worse when I think about it – yes, it resulted in spending a “family” day in the ER but bottom line – no serious complications, no broken bones … full recovery expected shortly.

Easter is a day of resurrection, a day to begin anew, a new day, a rebirth – so I have been thinking why, of all days, did this happen to me. I do a lot of really profound thinking in the shower and today the angels gave me my answer. It was a rebirth for me, I have reached a new level on my spiritual growth. While recovering under the watchful eye of my angelic mother and attentive daughter I was not allowed to shift in the chair without one or both asking what I needed. I was not allowed to walk alone or spend time in the kitchen – and I felt like I was completely able to do so. My angelic friend and mentor, Nina, lovingly and firmly insisted that I was to worry about nothing but my recovery.(That’s a hard thing for this Customer Care Angel who likes to be the one taking care of things and people!)

The magic of completely surrendering to be taken care of was that I was able to fully receive all the healing love, energy and prayer being beamed my way from all corners of the world from my angel friends!  My bruises have faded remarkably fast, my jaw is only ever so slightly still swollen and I feel rejuvenated in spirit.

The angels told me this morning that into every life a little rain must fall because just as plants and trees and flowers need water and sunshine to grow strong and beautiful, so do our souls. We need the rest of a rainy day (and they will force it on us if we don’t listen) as well as the rays of sunshine to grow fully into our life purpose.

So today I encourage you to surrender to the rain when it appears and allow your soul to be nourished in some quiet surrender.

In-the-moment Bootcamp

I’m sure most of you have heard about the importance of “being in the moment” or “going with the flow” or “feeling the oneness with the now”. Such wonderful advice and powerful teachings. Applying these principles to everyday life, however, can be a challenge.

How many of you feel compelled to check your email once an hour - or even every few minutes? Or your Blackberry? How many of you get lost in the land of Facebook and return hours later? Is it easy for you to just push to finish that last task rather than go outside and smell the fresh spring air or play with the kids?

BE-ing in the moment is about BE-ing in tune with the flow of the energy of the now. It’s knowing how to BE in each moment. Until today, I considered myself a pretty disciplined person when it comes to being in tune with the flow. I meditate twice daily, exercise, eat well and listen to my angels guidance with just about everything - from when to go to the gym, when to grocery shop, what to buy, where to go, how to parent, who to connect with, etc…

But this is a whole new realm today. Today the angels have enlisted me in bootcamp.

I was given the message last weekend that I would be taking “3 Days of Peace”. I wasn’t exactly sure what that meant and my angels were smart not to explain it earlier or my ego-self might have left the country. Now I understand that these “Days of Peace” are my In-the-moment Bootcamp which will cleanse all remains of my will-based ego. (For you Human Design/Angelic Blueprint junkies, I have all 4 motors defined. I was born to be a DO-ER and meanwhile, back in my body, my ego is screaming right now “peace, my petunias, I want to DO something more and THEN I will feel peace.”) 

My soul knows this is clearly a much needed event, because too often I DO from a place of confused emotion. I think things like “how will my business move forward if I don’t finish these emails?” or “but I have to do the laundry or Theron will stink at his soccer game” or “I must do this one last thing to get it right”. While all of these tasks may need to get done, the energy behind why I do them needs to shift. And trusting that the angels will guide me in love to respond to the emails at just the right time and get the clothes clean in time for the game and finish everything that is necessary (while letting go of what is not) is the end-goal.

Today, the angels are training me to completely let go of my will-based ego and stop pushing to make things happen. I am learning to DO only when the moment is steeped in love and nothing else. Today, if I try to DO one small thing that they consider inappropriate, they reel me back in and gently remind me to focus on the energy of this moment.

As I allow my God-based self to step forward in its entirety and run the show, peace is instilled with consistency and an abundant lifestyle. 

Most of us think we have to DO something to create anew. Most of us believe that if we are going to be successful in business, relationships, or health, that there is action that MUST be taken. How can we get there otherwise?

Abundance and success are a vibration that you carry. You achieve this vibration not by DO-ing but by setting the intention to attain the desired vibration and then allowing yourself to BE one with the Angels who will bring you into harmony with that vibration (unless you let your ego get in the way!).

Yes, there is action that will need to be taken at some point to bring about your desired result, BUT the emphasis here is on taking action that comes only from a place of love. Not guilt, not responsibility, but love. Allow the Angels to bring your vibration into alignment with your intention and THEN you can take action as guided by the divine forces of the Universe from that place of pure love.

I invite you to join me today with an emphasis on BE-ing and letting go of the DO-ing. And when you do need to DO, let the inspiration to make it happen come from a place of just love. Remember, abundance is a vibration not a result.

True Confessions

I admit it. I got quite angry this morning. I may work with the angels all the time, but that doesn’t mean I don’t find myself fuming on occasion.

Many of you don’t know this, but I am a trained holistic healer and practice homeopathy and herbal medicine. (And for my comrades of the Human Design experimental types, I’ve also trained in reflexology, craniosacral therapy, bartending and more! All in the name of experimentation!). But homeopathy is my consistent passion.

Anyways, I LOVE holistic healing. Helping people connect with their inner healer and discover the right remedy to cure their ailments is such a fulfilling experience. And yet, it’s not what the angels have planned for me for the next couple of years. Every time I put energy into building this side of my business outside of AngelsTeach, it falls flat. Some would say fails, but that’s not a word in my vocabulary.

The Angels have made it abundantly clear that I MUST be 100% focused on AngelsTeach…and nothing else. Does this mean my passion for homeopathy and herbs goes away. Certainly not! I will continue to practice with clients who come in through the “angel” channels.

Letting this passion go for now put me in an angry place this morning. And while I have a full list of things to do today, the angels “ordered” me to go for a walk in our woods. Reluctant to pull away from my desk, I knew it was a good idea.

I set the intention of letting my anger go. I set the intention of restoring the peace in my heart. And on my walk, I was reassured that my homeopathy work will come back in about two years. I was also given some AMAZING visions for what’s ahead for AngelsTeach. (And I got much more done tromping through the woods than I would have typing away at my desk!)

Because I made the effort to let go of a passion that is currently diluting my energies, I made space for big things to come through.

In Human Design (Angelic Blueprint) terms, for those of you with open heads and ajnas, it can be a struggle to narrow down your passion, because you have many. And yet, when you do, great things happen.

Be honest with your emotions and your desires this beautiful weekend. And I do encourage you to pursue Human Design if you haven’t already. The murky waters of emotion

The subject of emotions came up with both students and clients yesterday and when a theme appears so prominently, I know there is a message from the Angels. In Human Design (or the Angelic Blueprint), the emotions are defined as waves. There are 3 types of waves varying from a relatively small wave to quite a large wave that undulates based on factors such as time, environment and health. When you start to look at the emotions as waves of energy, it is easier to gain some level of objectivity.

Emotions, like everything else, are a vibration. There is nothing special or different about our emotions that sets them apart from let’s say, my right foot. Except that they vibrate at a different frequency. And because they vibrate at a different frequency, we experience emotions very differently than we all experience my right foot.

Yes, I am being deliberately ridiculous here, because the underlying fact remains the same. Both my right foot and your emotions and my emotions are simply vibrations of energy. Nothing more. Nothing less.

When you focus your thoughts on your emotions, they become more pronounced. When I focus my thoughts on my foot, I feel sensations I didn’t before. By setting the intention of separating yourself from the murky waters of your emotions and gaining perspective that only your soul can have, you can realize the truth of your emotions. They are simply waves of energy.

And according to Human Design, many of us don’t even have true emotions in our energetic expression. We just pick them up from people around us which can make us feel very emotional. And then once we leave their energy and we’re fine.

Understanding emotions is liberating. Clear away the murky waters of your emotions and understand that they are simply energy. Understand that your emotions don’t have to rule your life once you know their origin and how they work. Ask your angels to help you be free and be happy!

Are you Perfect?

My wife Nina and I recently had the good fortune of taking a some very relaxing days in Cancun. We have been working very hard and when you work for yourself and out of your own house the lines of taking a break and working become blurred. So for our vacation we were ready to just be pampered and taken care of.

One of the bartender’s at the lounge where we would have an evening cocktail before dinner would always ask us, “Are you perfect? Is there anything that I can do to make you perfect?” And yes we were Perfect. Right there in that chair at the bar after lounging by the pool in the tropical sun to melt away the long winter, yes we were perfect!

Flash forward to this past weekend and after paying bills and dealing with some menial chores I was feeling very stressed out. I was far from perfect. In fact, quite unlike m self I was a real grouch. Part of what made me less perfect was the extreme pressure I was feeling.

The root center is a pressure center and when we get under pressure to do things, like pay bills or make the money to pay bills, the pressure of the root center triggers adrenaline to be dumped into the system to give us energy “to do”. But in my case it was a lot and like having 3 cups of coffee I was feeling so over powered by the amount of adrenalinedumped in my system that I almost felt paralyzed. It took me a couple hours of watching mindless TV to pull myself of the couch and go outside for a while and work in the garden to feel better. And using up the adrenaline is a great way to recover from the over pressured root.

The pressure wasn’t the only thing affecting my mood. The root center holds the gates of depression in the body. Ra actually speculates that people with an open root may have a higher rate of suicide as they have more opportunity to be under pressure which can lead to depression. But even with my defined root I did not have immunity, as I was feeling the pressure in my open gates, and feeling the depression.

There are many areas in the Human Design system where we can come under pressure or influence of energies that will throw us off our center and out of balance. Understanding these can help you define strategy to bring yourself back to center. Often connected to losing our center is tied to worrying about the future or struggling with our past. But to paraphrase Ra, if you live your design then there is only one thing you can do and that is to live in the Now. We are a different person than we were in the past as we have in some way changed, and the future is the future and what we imagine may not even happen so why focus on that instead of what is right in front of our faces and that is the Now, which is happening and unfolding as we speak.

Living in the Now as Eckart Tolle and so many others have spoken is a sure way to get to perfect. I am not perfect today but I am a heck of a lot closer than I was last Saturday. I hope you are on your way to perfect too!

Happy Birthday AngelsTeach!!

Yesterday was AngelsTeach’s second birthday! I spent the day in prayer and gratitude for all that has taken place in the past two years…

I’ve always viewed AngelsTeach as an entity that is flowing through me and I am simply her “instrument”. And she is blessed with other “instruments” who dedicate their love, time and energy to making AngelsTeach the creation that she is offering services to help people discover their angels and bring our world to a greater state of peace. 

At this time, I would like to thank…

Marianne Chandler, our Customer Care Angel who genuinely cares for our customers in a way no one else could. She is also a teacher-in-training.

Kim Turcotte who is not just a teacher extraordinaire, but has also served as a loving guide directing AT (and me!) and giving us nudges when we need to be nudged!

Katie Frantz who while recently has needed to attend to a personal situation, but has spent many hours also guiding AT’s direction as well as helping make her more beautiful when she wasn’t teaching or coaching.

Barb Andrew who is my beloved seminary friend and now Angelic Life Coach® and teacher-in-training. She is passionate about the angels and spreads their love wherever possible!

Dawn Simpson who is a new teacher-in-training and is a most passionate fan of the angels.

My true earth angel, Peter, who without you AngelsTeach would not exist. You are my rock, my inspiration and the love of my life.

Expansion, time to think big!

The energy especially today and also affecting the whole weekend is about expansion. Below is the image of the card that came forward today from Toni Carmine Salerno’s Wisdom Oracle deck. If you look at the beautiful Goddess image, you will notice that she is pushing her arms outward and her energy is eminating in larger and larger vibrations. She is growing. She is expanding. She is pushing beyond where she has been before.

The message here is about the importance of thinking big. Too many times we believe we are entrapped in cages that are only an illusion. We believe we are not good enough, prepared enough, special enough…you name it.

There is a story about a man who was imprisoned in solitary confinement for many years. Every morning and evening an attendant would open his door and bring him his meals. Then one day, an angel came to the man and suggested he try the door handle on his prison cell. In disbelief, the man resisted. He was, afterall, in prison. But the angel persisted, so the man hesitantly walked over to the door and turned the knob. The door opened easily and he was free! It was his belief that he was in prison that kept him behind bars for all those years.

Spend some time this weekend in solitude and contemplate your bigger mission. Allow yourself to think beyond the prison walls and enter your own castle of greatness! you are far bigger and far greater than you realize.

Perspective

Peter and I have just returned from a magical vacation in Cancun Mexico where the weather was sunny, the people friendly and the tequila quite tasty! As we were approaching Boston’s Logan airport last night, the angels gave me a very clear message for our “re-entry”. I spent a lot of time in communion and meditation while we were away and received some essential “instructions” and guidance for my work. They reminded me that in order to solidify this guidance and make it a true part of my reality, I can’t return to the same home…I need to make changes that are in harmony and support of this new perspective I received in the tropics.

I remember attending a workshop many years ago and the teacher said that when we return home from any major shift of consciousness, it is important to move 17 things in the home. (At least I think it was 17, could be a bit less, but you get the drift!) The reason is that you have changed and so must your environment, otherwise this shift it not sustainable.

And so today, I embark on setting up what the angels call my “relaxation area” in my home. Not sure exactly how that will transpire, but I know it will be wonderful!

Even if you haven’t just been through a noticeable spiritual growth spurt, look around your home and see what needs rearranging. If you keep your environment static and unchanging, it is likely that you will feel that way as well as your home is a reflection of your inner reality.

You’re the one that I want…la la la

Many of you may know that the angels LOVE to send me messages in dreams. And sometimes those dreams are quite outlandish and involve music.

Last night, I awoke from probably the most amusing dream I’ve ever experienced. I was a candidate on America’s Next Top Model (no, I wasn’t in NYC the other day during the riot). The assignment I had for the episode we were working on was to perform as Olivia Newton John singing “You’re the One that I want” with Hugh Laurie from House standing in for John Travolta. Just before waking, I was standing inches away from House’s eyes and bellowing “oo oo oo, honey, you’re the one that I want”!

I laughed out loud as I made my way to the bathroom. I wanted to wake Peter, because I couldn’t contain myself with amusement. Thankfully, the angels convinced me to wait until morning. I snuggled back into bed and prayed for help to resume a restful sleep.

And then the second act of my dream began…I was back on America’s Next Top Model. I had to be on the air in less than 30 minutes and I was scrambling to get ready. I hadn’t prepared at all and only had a wrinkled black t-shirt. As I stressed about my appearance, my only choice of attire was which pair of wings…the monarch butterfly ones or the bigger white fairy ones or maybe the really big archangel ones. I went with the monarch wings for the purposes of discretion.

There are multiple messages in these dreams. Some obvious and some not-so-obvious. It has to do with singing from the heart, assuming a role that seems impossible, traveling to teach in person and multiple other layers of messages. The personal interpretation here is less important than the point that your angels will do their best to make their mark upon you in a loving way. And sometimes their approach will surprise you and on the surface may not seem like a message at all…but it’s there. I promise! xo
